After-School (AGES 5-12)

We are an authentic, licensed Martial Arts School rooted in the talent and skill business, not the supervision and care business. As such, we provide a constructive alternative to daycare, babysitting, or extended-day programs.

We offer after-school transportation services through our own company (TASMA, LLC), ensuring a smooth & safe transition from your student's school campus directly to our facility. We pick up from many Elementary schools within the Orange and Seminole county districts, as well as Teague Middle School.

After-school services are typically provided for ages 5-12. Our program is strictly crafted for your student's acquisition of the Martial Arts and its tenants: Exercise, Discipline, Respect, Manners, Self-Defense, Esteem, and Confidence. These traits are acquired and maintained through our unique belt-ranking system, special awards programs, and effective training style. All ranks and awards are earned, not given. Students must actively practice over a specified time-period and demonstrate adequate proficiency of their rank in order to be promoted.

The after-school program includes a 1-hour class session from 4pm - 5pm, Monday through Friday. Classes are divided by rank among several black-belt instructors and are conducted in 4 separate rings over 1,000 sq. ft. in size. Prior to training, students are welcome to enjoy active games such as basketball, dodgeball, and four-square. Students are also able to participate in quiet activities, such as board games, drawing, and reading. Throughout the school year, we are open as early as 7:30am on days when schools are closed, such as teacher workdays, breaks, and student holidays. On these days, students will engage in 2 training sessions and have access to our fun activities all day!

Please contact us to learn about our additional benefits such as 0 contracts, week-to-week payment schedule, and our absence-credit system.

Summer Camp (AGES 5-12)

Make this a fun and enriching summer! Summer camp is open to students ages 5-12, where they will play games, go on field trips, and learn karate!

Our summer camp program operates during 7:30am - 6:15pm, Monday through Friday. In addition to our in-house activities including basketball, dodgeball, four-square, and board games, students will also attend weekly swimming field trips and go somewhere different every Friday! Our Friday field-trips include bowling, roller-skating, jumping at Monkey Joe's, gaming at Valhallan, and watching new movies in our own private theater, all of which are at no extra charge! Should the rain try and stop us, we bring the fun to our students by renting bounce houses all day and providing yummy pizza for lunch!

Karate classes are conducted twice daily, from 10am - 11am and 3:30pm - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Students are allotted specific times to eat, play, and learn. Throughout their day, students are encouraged to practice respectful manners, engage in appropriate behavior, and adhere to the expectations of each period. We are a structured, traditional school that helps students develop and maintain responsibility, independence, and discipline. Our summer program is a great way to keep your student active, motivated, and excited to learn and improve their skills.

As the summer comes to a close, you have the option to conveniently roll over into either of our after-school or evening programs so that your student can continue progressing in their karate journey!

Evening Classes (AGES 5+)

Our evening program is strictly 1 karate class from 6pm - 7pm, Monday through Thursday. During this time, we teach children ages 5 and older, focusing on their rank curriculum in addition to partnered interactive pad-work, bag-work, and sparring. Students who wish to attend this program must be able to pay attention, practice, and retain their material. Our curriculum consists of traditional Japanese Karate (Shito-Ryu) and Tai-Ho Jitsu (the art of joint locks, breaks, take downs, and escapes).

Adult Classes (AGES 16+)

Our adult classes are held from 6:00pm - 7:30pm, Monday through Thursday. All adults have unlimited access to all classes, including tournament sparring, kata, Tai Ho Jitsu, takedowns, and Jujitsu (ground fighting). We teach traditional Japanese Karate called Shito-Ryu (Motobu-Ha Shito-Ryu Karate). Since Hanshi Jim King has studied many different arts over the past 50 years, we also incorporate some Judo, Aikido, Jiu Jitsu, and reality based martial arts. The reality based martial arts are taken from the Israeli Special Forces and will actually teach you how to survive a real fight - standing or on the ground. There is the sport of karate and then there is the reality of fighting; Two completely different practices, and we offer both.
